Midfielder and Ukraine U-21 skipper Yuriy Vakulko arrived to Partizan during winter transfer window and after completing winter preps he made his official Partizan debut last weekend.
-It was a very important moment of my life, one I`ve been waiting for a long time and I`m quite happy about it. I`d like to thank boss Djukic, coaching staff and all of my teammates as without their support and performances I wouldn`t be successful. I`m delighted with all my teammates. Their reception was fantastic and I feel like one of them from the day one. It`s incredible how we get along and how much support between us is there when the things are not good. We are one big family here, says Vakulko.
You are in Belgrade for several months how. How do you find it here?
-I like it a lot. I visited Kalemegdan and Prince Mihailo Obrenovic Monument at Republic`s Square among other things. I spent a lot of team with teammates Cucin and Ivanovic as well as with young keeper Popovic. Everyone is quite nice and friendly wherever I go.
What is your opinion on Partizan team?
-I watched all Partizan games before my debut and I think we are a strong side. But, in football game you need luck sometimes and at times we were short of it. Now, we are back on track, full of motivation, scoring at will and we move forward with support from our fans.
Did your family come to visit you here?
-Yes, two weeks ago. Unfortunately, they were not here for my debut. Their visit was helpful and my family was able to see how nice I find it here.
