FK Partizan signed 21-year-old  Nigerian attacker Theophilus Solomon from Rijeka on a one-year loan deal.

Solomon moved to Rijeka as a youth player in 2012 and started his senior career two years later mostly as a loanee to other Croatian clubs – Primorac (9 played, no goals scored),  Zadar (13/1), Sibenik (32/11) and Istra (31/7).

Last season,  Solomon was among candidates for the best team of the Croatian league. Before moving to Partizan, Belgian outfits Lokeren and Gent showed interest in Nigerian forward while Juventus was interested in signing while he was still a youth player. Solomon made one appearance for Nigerian Olympic team in a Rio friendly against Brazil ahead of Olympic Games staged in Brazil.

Theophilus Solomon upon signing:

– I know Partizan is quite big club and good for me. I`m really happy and honoured to be here. I`ll give my best, even more,  for us to win trophies.

Sports Director Ivica Iliev on new signing:

– I see Solomon as a great attacking potential and our future. So far, I was looking for players who can be the best as soon as they arrive and offer Partizan what is needed. However, I believe Solomon will show his quality soon.
