Squad back in action

Partizan squad kicked- off pre-season preps on Monday due to mid-July involvement in CL qualifiers.

Players gathered in Zemunelo camp 10am on Monday after engaging in Vita Maksima clinic medicals over the weekend.

Squadsters were greeted by FK Partizan President Milorad Vucelic, Sports Director Ivica Iliev, new head Coach Miroslav Djukic, Vice-President Vladimir Vuletic, General Director Milos Vazura as well as Executive Board members Dragoljub Trailovic and Goran Skorobac.

Coach Miroslav Djukic addressed to players:

– We have an obligation to continue our successful run. You achieved great results but we have to be better and stronger now. Our first aim is serious role in Europe this season. You have the quality and now we need to add team spirit to it. Good luck to everyone, I wish you all the best.

Once again, Club President Milorad Vucelic congratulated players on a double won:

-You deserved to win the title and you played best football game around. We celebrated the trophies and we have to work on defending the double. European competitions are a great challenge but we`ll try to achieve fine position in Europe with our game and determination, led by a new boss. Long road is ahead of us, I truly wish you all the best. Come on, Partizan!

Sports Director Ivica Iliev had a message for players too:

– We are together for some time now. I don`t want to go back although we had wonderful time. I want us to make a great leap forward in Europe, I have a exceptional faith in you and all I can wish you is even more successful season.

Early pre-season is attended by 30 players:

Goalkeepers: Nemanja Stevanović, Filip Kljajić, Marko Jovičić, Đorđe Lazović;

Defenders: Miroslav Vulićević, Nemanja Miletić, Aleksandar Subić, Bojan Ostojić, Lazar Ćirković, Strahinja Bošnjak, Svetozar Marković, Milan Radin;

MIdfielders: Everton, Marko Jevtović, Jovan Nišić, Saša Marjanović, Saša Ilić, Veljko Birmančević, Alen Stevanović, Petar Đuričković, Nemanja Mihajlović, Armin Đerlek, Strahinja Jovanović, Jovan Kokir, Lazar Vujanić;

Forwards: Dušan Vlahović, Sava Petrov, Tawamba, Đorđe Jovanović, Vladimir Đilas.

Due to international call-up`s number of players will join pre-season preps later on – Leonardo, Marko Jankovic, Nebojsa Kosovic, Mohammed Monir and Uros Djurdjevic.

Squad will train in Zemunelo camp until 14^th of June followed by one-week preps at Zlatibor mountain. Team will return to Belgrade on 22^nd of June when they`ll play 11am friendly against Mladost Lucani.

Second part of pre-season preps is reserved for Slovenian resort of Moravske Toplice, from 25^th of June until 5^th of July, with four friendlies to be played (one opponent yet to be confirmed)

– 27^th of June, Kapfenberg (Austria);

– 29^th  of June, Copenhagen (Denmark);

– 1^st of July, CSKA (Russia).

CL round 2 qualifiers draw will take place on 19^th of June with first leg scheduled to be played on 11^th or 12^th of July.
