Slobodan Urosevic after his first career brace

“I`m glad to score a brace but even more happier as we won three points and we keep moving forward towards our aim. Matches after the winter break are always the hardest. Now, that we achieved our main target for the weekend, we move forward, game by game, and I hope we will win them all”.

We overheard Ricardo asking you before the game if you can score and you replied you`ll score a brace?

“Yes, it was right before the kick-off, more of a banter, but it really happened in the end”.

Game`s opener was a rehearsed set-piece play or just improvisation, Natcho`s back-heel move for you?

“It was agreed between the two of us. He`s usually the one taking those free-kicks but he allowed me this one, played it for me and we scored”.

What`s it like to hear fans chant you nickname?

“It`s pleasing, of course! It does a lot for my confidence. We need fans to carry us forward, all of us. We need to go towards our target together and to celebrate by the end of the season”.

A total of 29 league games played so far, 25 wins achieved.

“One incredible streak but to achieve what we are after, to pick up the league trophy, we have to win each next game, they are all important and each one is crucial in our title quest”, said 27-year-old.

It`s a cup game next, one-legged tie against Loznica.

“There`s no second chance in a cup but we are at home and favourites to win. We are not underestimating anyone but the win is all that matters to us”.

You waved to all fans but the sweetest touch was when you waved to our special guests, boys and girls who suffer from autism. It was World Autism Awareness day on Saturday and you had special shirts and blue balloons for this occasion, gifting those lovely kids with Partizan jerseys after the game.

“It`s always nice when kids are on the stands. They were giving us incredible support and we can do something for them, give them a bit of attention or present them with a shirt. That`s the least we can do and we`ll keep doing it”, said Slobodan Urosevic.
