As a third foreign player to achieve 100 appearances for Partizan, 29-year old Guinean midfielder Seydouba Soumah received Partizan shirt number 100 signed by all his teammates.
Besides Soumah, this milestone was previously reached by forward Lamine Diarra (151 apps total) and midfielder Almami Moreira (132).
“I`m talking pride in these numbers for more than one reason. First of all, I`m only third foreign player in the history of the club to make 100 appearances. Second of all, I`m proud of my teammates who also reached this milestone, great football names who started their respective careers at Partizan. This says a lot about my continuity over those years spent at the club. Partizan was a big challenge for me since the day one. I had good and bad moments but let us forget the bad ones, we should just remember goals, wins and celebrations. Therefore, I`m glad I crowned four or five years I spent here in such way. Now, we move on towards new aims” – said Seydouba Soumah.
“My favourite game must be Man Utd away. We should have won them in Belgrade but once you are out of the tunnel at Old Trafford you get shivers and only then you realize where you are and what level you are on”.
FK Partizan General Director Milos Vazura on Soumah`s feat:
-We had a great trust in Soumah from the day one and he paid it back with his performances in the field. It wasn`t easy for him with all the pressure going on here but he battled his way through. It` s a great thing when you write your name in the history of Partizan, with only two other foreign names on this list. Therefore, we wanted to award Soumah in his own right and thank him for everything he`s done for the club once again.
