Due to a congested fixture list, Partizan was granted permission by Serbian FA to play Serbian Cup last 32 stage one-legged home tie against third-tier outfit Trayal on international break Wednesday (4.30pm CET kick-off). Partizan will play a total of 7 competitive matches over the upcoming three-week period.
TEAM NEWS
Sinisa Sanicanin (Illness) is back in contention after recovering from Covid-19 but young Nemanja Jovic is the latest casualty of the virus Another youngster, Nikola Stulic, picked up a muscle injury. Number of Partizan players are away on international duty and therefore not available.
Partizan boss Aleksandar Stanojevic ahead of Wednesday`s cup tie:
-With Stulic injured, Milovanovic and Bazdar away on international duty, we have to start with Ricardo but we still have to make a decision who will sub him during the game. I wish we could rest him one day. Ricardo had more days-off after all the games he played but he arrived two days early, fresh and rested, available to start against Trayal. It`s only that we`ll have 15 or 16 players available, without proper subs, but I have full trust in these boys. Well, you`ve seen how different our line-up was away to Lucani compared to home game against Spartak.
Nemanja Stevanovic will be between the posts, as agreed with goalkeeper`s coach Jovsic. He is going to play all cup games, all the way to the final, hopefully.
I also hope for more good performances from Menig, he`ll be in the starting line-up tomorrow. It`s good that we have good option down both flanks, so everyone can get rested. Period ahead of us is going to be the toughest so far. We have resources to keep the pace as we were aware of it all from the beginning. We just hope that everyone will be fit and healthy.
