Partizan players have a day-off on Tuesday and resume training on Wednesday after midweek SSL round 25 being postponed due to weather conditions. Meanwhile, we chat to Partizan newcomer, holding midfielder Sasa Zdjelar, who scored his first Partizan goal last weekend.
– Honestly, I don`t know if I ever scored a goal so late in the game. I wished it was different and my goal was a winning one as good performance from any of us means nothing if you don`t win. We still have two trophies to play for and we`ll try to win each and every game, step by step. League leaders have a big point advantage now but I`m optimistic and we`ll battle `till the very end. Life moves forward, so does football. Each new day is a new opportunity to prove yourself, says Zdjelar.
There`s a constant pressure when you play for Partizan?
– I`m familiar to it as pressure was enormous in Olympiacos too. On the other hand, I`m lifelong Partizan fan so I know what playing for Partizan means.
Midweek round 25 is postponed so next Partizan fixture is Rad home next weekend.
– It will be good to have a bit of rest before we get ready for Rad. They are uncomfortable opposition but everyone is really. We have enough time to train and scan Rad. I`m sad there`ll be no attendance again as everyone knows how much noise and support from the stands means to us.
