Partizan is away to Kolubara for a National Cup last 32 tie on Wednesday but everyone is still talking about 158th edition of Eternal Derby game.
Our team showed maturity and fighting spirit, as well as hunger for goals and great winning desire. Sasa Zdjelar fought a huge battle in the midfield area himself:
– We prepared for this game really well knowing what the opposition is capable of and we managed to neutralize all their qualities. We had so many opportunities to win it but had no luck to score more than one goal, says Zdjelar.
You received a lots of praise for your performance.
– I`m glad people appreciate and respect what I do, there`s lot of effort and work involved from me since the start of the season. I had good and bad performances so far but I`m glad I played well on Sunday.
You were cautioned in the first half.
– To be honest, it was hard trying to avoid second caution. I was booked on 40 and there was lots of tackles and fouls afterwards but I managed to control myself and remain on the pitch until the end.
Partizan dominated most of the game and showed a great quality although many were quick to write off our team in this year`s title battle.
– There`s lot to play for and we will keep fighting to win every game ahead of us so that we can win the title in the end. All my teammates were excellent on Sunday and I would say Marko Jankovic was a standout performer.
