Ricardo Gomes: We don`t have time to rest

Ricardo Gomes scored his 16^th league goal (20^th in total) in a 3-1 win over Metalac. Ricardo`s early opener was cancelled out on the half-an-hour mark but two more goals from Natcho secured another Partizan win. We spoke to Partizan forward after the game.

“We knew it was going to be a hard game, boss told us enough about this team and they showed they know how to play their football game. Metalac is a young team and you were able to see their quality, especially in the first half. We scored an early opener but we were not aggressive enough early in the game. In the second half we came stronger and more aggressive and we got the result”, said Ricardo.

Partizan is home to Cukaricki on Sunday.

“We don`t have time to rest, now we have to forget this game, to recover and prepare for the next match. Cukaricki will be important for us, like all the games are, and we have to fight until the end for what we want”.

Although Partizan created a bigger gap now at the top of the standings, desire has to be the same as it was at the beginning of the season.

“We don`t have time to relax too, because things in football can change so fast and we have to keep going, to take all the points we can. When possible, we`ll play good football but three points are the most important at the end of the day”, said Ricardo.
