Patrick Andrade after his first Partizan goal

Fousseini Diabate and Patrick Diabate scored their first Partizan goals respectively, in a UEFA ECL play-off 4-1 home win over Hamrun.

29-year old Andrade spoke to the Partizan website after Friday morning training session.

“I`m really thrilled to score my first Partizan goal and I hope for more in the future. When you score and your team wins you are simply more enthusiastic. It means a lot to me that my family is here with me now but my first goal is for my teammates as they deserve this”, said Andrade.

Although he joined his new team mid-through pre-season, Andrade says he didn`t much time to adapt to the new environment.

“Honestly, I adapted straight away. I missed my family but they are here with me now. I spend a lot of time with Ricardo, he showed me lots of Belgrade spots and I can say I like this city”.

Regardless of the poor start of the season, Andrade has faith in this Partizan team.

“In truth, we didn`t start well but we have a good team and players and we work hard. Now, we made this reset and I`m sure we`ll get back on the right track. As for me personally, I feel better with each new day. When you win, the whole of the team is full of confidence, so am I. As for the team formation and my playing position, I`ll play where the coach feels I can do my best”.

4-1 win over Hamrun brings a bit of peace but no one should think about relaxing.

“This result is good but we should not rest on our laurels. We have enough time to get ready for Malta away and do our best to win this tie and qualify for the group stage of the competition”, said Andrade,
