Partizan U-19`s: ECFC tournament update

Partizan U-19`s lost to Dinamo Zagreb in a quarter-final tie of European Clubs Friendship Cup staged in Zlatibor, Serbia.

On Tuesday, in a first group stage game, Partizan played a 1-1 draw against Pandev Academy with Stjepanovic scoring the only goal for our team few mins before half-time whistle. Actually, Stjepanovic deputized for regular right-back Bojat who suffered a minor injury. Partizan U-19 team consisted of 6 players born year 2003 and 5 players born year 2004.

A game with Sarajevo two days later finished with a Partizan 2-0 win, good enough for Partizan kids to reach quarter-finals.

Once in quarter-finals, Partizan U-19`s played a 90 minute 2-2 draw against Dinamo Zagreb and defeat on pens followed. Regular time goals for Partizan were scored by Petkovic on 40 and Jovanovic on 60. Partizan also hit the post few minutes before final whistle.

Petkovic, Vlahovic and Stjepanovic hit the net during the penalty shoot-out while Jovanovic and Ilic failed to beat Dinamo keeper.
