Partizan youth school is one of the best in Europe for decades now and our U-10 team won Tyrol Chairman Cup in Austria recently by playing 13 matches in total and winning all of them with total a of 63 goals scored!
“Boys had a really good tournament. Considering it`s easier to play in these circumstances, when opponents are not so burdened with results and time-wasting, we had an opportunity to play fast football game with lots of passing and link play overall. We managed to achieve everything we planned before our arrival to Austria”, said Partizan U-10 Head Coach Ugljesa Saranovic.
“Impressions from the tournament are good. Conditions were exceptional and we were drawn in a good group. I`ve never seen such good conditions so far. Matches itself were of good quality as well as the opponents. I`d love us to keep this pace and be in a right mood when it matters”, said Partizan U-10 Assistant Coach Slavisa Stojiljkovic.
Partizan U-10`s train four times a week over hour-and-a-half training sessions and it`s clearly doing the job. Although wins are not paramount at this age, it`s always nice to get to the final game of the tournament and to win all the games on it.
In the tournament`s final, Partizan beat Bayern Munich related side of SpVgg Unterhaching 2-1 with goals from Tubic and Krstic.
“I felt as I was in a CL final when we played Unterhaching. I scored a goal and we won the trophy”, said Filip Tubic.
“When I scored a goal in a final, I felt great joy and I just couldn`t believe this was happening”, said Rastko Krstic.
Partizan kids will hardly forget some of the moments from Chairman Cup. When they walked out onto the pitch for the tournament`s final, their names were read out in front of 1,000 spectators. The atmosphere was great, flairs were lit and CL anthem was played. They had an opportunity to lock horns with some the best Western Europe sides, like Red Bull Salzburg who they beat 4-0!
“I scored a goal, for me it was an easy game to play, they are not as strong as you might believe”, said Partizan U-10 player Filip Vuckovic after the Salzburg game.
“Greatest satisfaction was to see almost all teams who approached us praising us. They wanted to play friendlies against us, saying we were playing the best football game on the tournament”, said FK Partizan youth school Coordinator and Scout Dejan Ristic.
Hosts stated arrival of Partizan made some other teams join the tournament and it`s expected Partizan U-12 side to sign up the this event in the future.
Partizan U-10`s are returning home with a trophy and will resume pre-season training at home on July 31.
