Partizan squad starts pre-season

Partizan squad returned to training for upcoming 2022/23 season today. Squadsters were welcomed by FK Partizan President Milorad Vucelic, General Director Milos Vazura, Sporting Director Ivica Iliev and board members Dragan Trailovic, Zoran Rajic, Vladimir Djukic and Goran Pandurovic.

New Head Coach Ilija Stolica presented his pre-season training plans including Slovenia camp preps details (18^th of June – 2^nd of July).

Number of Partizan youngsters joined club`s pre-season – Vanja Vlahovic, Luka Subotic, Mateja Stasevic and Mihajlo Petkovic.

FK Partizan President Milorad Vucelic addressed everyone present ahead of first training session of the pre-season:

-We achieved great results last season under the guidance of coach Aleksandar Stanojevic and if it was about competitive part only, we would won the title. However, we were less successful off the pitch and won no domestic trophies. Moreover, we had a fine European run as well reaching knockout stage of the competition.

Now, we picked the best possible coaching option and I believe that`s one of the important early successes ahead of everything awaiting us this season. I expect fighting spirit and competitiveness from our players on all fronts and wish them successful season. If they fully commit they can succeed and they should not even think about looking for justice outside the football field. I hope VAR will work at all times, don`t want football justice to depend on individuals and referees.

New boss Ilija Stolica had a short message for his charges:

-My focus and energy is on players, they are the first and foremost in everything we do, we are here to service them. This energy should focus on the football field only. We have to look towards wins and trophies but we`ll move on forward day by day, win by win. Season ahead of us is specific and demanding but there will be time for rest too.
