Club returnee, forward Nemanja Nikolic, joined latest edition of Partizan Podcast. In his first spell with the club, now 30-year-old made 36 apps for Partizan, scoring 8 goals and 10 assists. His second spell aims are clear.
“I can`t make any promises but I want to say I came back here to achieve my childhood goal – to make Partizan fans happy. Surely, they want to see us winning trophies after a six or seven year drought. This is the legitimate right for every one of us. Now, is it going to happen in a year or two, I just hope I`ll get to live my dream”, said Nikolic.
Nemanja Nikolic underlined what would be the key to Partizan success in his opinion.
“As far as I`m concerned, all Partizan players have to be true Gravediggers! That`s my stance and I believe it`s the right one. Newcomers have to have a feel this badge and atmosphere, to be ready for fan`s dissatisfaction as fans are not like that for no reason, they want maximum from all of us. That`s the foundation. We have more experienced players in the squad and young guns who were U-19 and U-17 Serbian champions, and excellent achievement from them”.
Finally, Nikolic has a message for his rivals on the pitch, for those who often forget what the fair-play is about.
“It`s unacceptable to have someone imitate shooting towards the South stand (e.g. Crvena Zvezda player in a last Eternal derby game). I`m getting chills about it even now. If I was there, I wouldn`t care if I was booked or match was to be stopped or abandoned. I don`t want to make insults or say something bad about the player who did it, he was struck by emotions or maybe someone told him that`s what he should do. But, if I was there on the pitch, I would have definitely behaved differently compared to how Partizan players reacted”, said Nikolic.
