Partizan played first friendly of two-week Cyprus winter preps locking horns with top-tier Polish side Gornik Zabrze. Poles are the most coveted Polish club in country`s history, now third-placed in Ekstraklasa league.
Among Partizan starters are newcomers Vakulko and Ivanovic while Soumah, Ozegovic and Pantic are sidelined due to minor injuries.
Partizan was first to threaten after NR Miletic sent a great ball forward for Ivanovic who was brought down by Polish keeper just outside the box followed by Tosic`s free-kick and fine save from Pawlowski,
Over the first 20 mins Gornik had three opportunities but Partizan keeper Jovicic made some fine saves.
On 27, Jevtovic`s long range shot was stopped by Gornik keeper followed by opportunity for Tosic but his slilding shot was cleared for a Partizan corner-kick.
After the break, boss Djukic introduced lots of Partizan young guns and one of them – forward Djerlek – had an opportunity on 76 but he shot wide.
Partizan will play second friendly of Cyprus preps on 29th of January against Slovan Liberec.
