Partizan lost 1-0 to Romanians Cluj in a first friendly of Slovenia pre-season preps.
Five-time champions of Romania scored the only goal of the game on 35 after poor piece of defending from Sehovic and Popovic. It has to be said that boss Stolica had to field makeshift defence in absence of regular centre-back Vujacic and Sanicanin. Moreover, Ricardo, Lutovac, Lakcevic and late newcomer Andrade were not available.
Unfortunately, Sehovic had to leave the pitch early due to an injury.
Cluj is deep into their season preps and Dan Petrescu charges were much fitter as a result but, apart from scoring a goal, they didn`t threat Partizan too much.
On the other hand, Partizan didn`t create much – number of shots outside of the box were comfortably saved by Cluj keeper. Newcomer Filipovic was close to head the ball into the net on 89 latching onto a corner-kick cross.
Partizan will play Spartak Trnava next, on 28th of June.
