Marc Valiente will be the first ever Spaniard to play for Partizan. Latest club signing spoke to journalists upon his arrival to team`s pre-season camp in Slovenia.
– Partizan is football name everyone knows about and I know about Belgrade derby as well. In truth, in Spain we are not too much informed about Serbian football scene but, as I said, everyone knows about Partizan and derby. I watched Partizan play EL last season and I know they played last 32 of the competition and they won national cup as well. This is big club, always aiming for silverware, says Valiente.
– I`d like to talk about myself as a person rather than a footballer. I always try to add positive mood in the dressing room, I think that`s important for team spirit. I played in many clubs and I know atmosphere around the squad is the path towards success. I was lucky to learn my trade at Barcelona youths. I found it hard when I left Barcelona and I also found it hard as I had to adjust to other team`s style of play. I`ll try to do the same here.
Partizan Sports Director Ivica Iliev on Marc Valiente:
– It`s a pleasure to have Marc here with us and it makes it more significant as no Spaniard played for Partizan before. Considering boss Djukic already coached Valiente and wanted him here, that was enough for us to finish the deal. I always trust Djukic when it comes to defenders. They already worked together and I hope we`ll all be happy and satisfied.
