Nebojša Kosovic close to return to action

After his latest medical in Rome at Professor`s Pier Paolo Mariani clinic, Nebojša Kosovic finally got the go-ahead he was waiting for after being sidelined for six months due to anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus injury he sustained during Montenegro v Kazahstan international.

-Thank God, it`s gone great. As much as you feel good and you know you are ok, there`s a always a bit of a doubt so to hear you are officially cleared from your injury is nice. Professor Mariani confirmed I can play now and all have to do is train as hard as possible, says Kosovic.

You already resumed your training. What`s the feeling like?

– I can`t describe it. It was a long wait and even during the preps I was eager to jump in as I felt good but it`s not about how you feel in your head, it`s about your physique. I can`t describe how happy I am. These six months were like six years to me.

You were brave during your recovery period as much as you were brave when you learned about the extent of your injury.

– I simply love football game, that`s why. Big thanks goes to physio recovery specialist Andra Milutinovic. I worked for hours and hours, starting from 7am but I had just one aim and I did it.

You received a call-up to join Montenegro national team during international break.

– Yes, I`d like to thank coach Ljubisa Tumbakovic for a call-up, it really means a lot to me. I`ll try to win my starting line-up spot with hard work. There`s a bit of fear around after everything I went through but teammates who had similar experience and similar injuries told me that`s normal and it will go away with time.

For the past six moths, you watched Partizan from the stands. Which game was hardest to watch?

– Tie against Plzen, honestly. I cannot wait to get back to the game.
