Matheus Saldanha signs!

Partizan signed Brazilian attacker Matheus Saldanha today officially!

23-year-old penned a four-year deal and arrives from Neftchi where he played as a loanee from JEF United.

Saldanha will be wearing Partizan shirt number 11.

Matheus, welcome to Belgrade. Tell us a bit more about yourself.

“First of all, I`d like to thank everyone at the club as well as fans. As an attacker, my best skills are strong left foot and strength overall. I have a quality to score lots of goals and I`m here to help the team achieve our goals”, said Saldanha.

You met your new teammates yesterday and had a lunch with them. How do you like the atmosphere here?

“It`s great and it`s important we get to know each other very well, so we can progress with each new day together. I cannot wait to get to know my teammates even better”.

Brazilian Leonardo played as an attacker for Partizan and club supporters have very fond memories of him.

“I know about him although I don`t know him personally. But, I want to match his success at Partizan, to score lots of goals and bring happy moments to the fans”.

One of the most important Serbian clashes is the Belgrade`s Eternal derby. We guess you watched clips of those games?

“I know about the derby and I cannot wait to witness this atmosphere. Of course, to win the derby game as well”.

You played in number of countries and clubs, In Brazil, Japan, China and Azerbaijan. Now, you are in Serbia. What`s your favourite foreign country so far?

“I`m in Serbia for few days only so I`ll have to get to know a bit more about it. So far, I really liked it in China”.

You`ve seen some parts of Belgrade so far, we heard you liked Belgrade Watefront?

“Yes, I liked it very much. People are very friendly and Belgrade Waterfront is one of the best places I`ve ever seen”.

A message to Partizan fans?

“I`d like to invite them to support us in all games. I intend to contribute with a lot of goals scored, assists made and whenever I can help us achieve our targets”, said Saldanha.
