Partizan right-back Marko Zivkovic returned to his home club ten years since he graduated from Partizan youths and he scored his first ever Partizan goal last night in a cup tie against minnows Trayal.
“I often imagined scoring for Partizan and I somehow knew it was going to be like this, an angled shot inside the box, as I get there from the right flank quite often. Beautiful feeling! Zdjelar spotted my position and knew where the ball can sneak in. I seized on his pass and I thank him for it! I`ll buy him a choc (laughs). This goal is for my family”, said 27-year-old.
Battle in three competitions continues.
“We play lots of games and I try to do my best, rotating with Miljkovic on the right-back spot. I`m glad teammates love me but what matters most for me is to justify bosses trust once I`m on the pitch”.
Tough games coming up, there`s lots of fixtures in October.
“Every game is life or death situation, especially with weather conditions worsening and pitches are not so great as a result. So far, we had no problems and our frame of mind is set on winning all the games before winter break”, said Marko Zivkovic.
