While Partizan was away at Malta, new deal came through – Malian midfielder Hamidou Traore signed for the club from Turkish outfit Giresunspor.
“I`m happy to be here as Partizan is a big club. When I heard about the offer I turned to my agent and told him this is the perfect opportunity for me to make a step forward in my career. He understood what I meant and then we reached satisfying option for both parties”, said 25-year old Traore.
While his teammates were away, Traore passed his medical and started individual training with Partizan physio MIsa Filipovic.
“I already feel at home here, so I can`t talk about adaptation period. I feel great here. I want to make an upgrade. I don`t want to praise myself, fans will see everything when I`m on the pitch”.
Traore played alongside Diabate last season and the two spoke before Hamidou`s arrival to Belgrade.
“I also spoke to Lamine Diarra and Mitar and they told me a lot about club`s history and importance, so I`m about tradition and also about the importance of upcoming Eternal derby game”.
Meanwhile, Partizan was drawn in a UEFA ECL group D alongside Koln, Nice and Slovacko.
“Group is tough but I`m sure we can go through. Most importantly, we need to have a good start”, said Traore.
