Gordan Petric takes over Partizan coaching post

Former Partizan player, assistant manager and board member Gordan Petric has been assigned as the new Partizan Head Coach.

New coach spoke at the special press-conference ahead of the Mladost GAT SSL away league game:

-Not sure you all know this, but I was close to becoming Partizan coach twice already but it didn`t happen for some reason. Now, I decided to take over and I`m here to try and help. We are in a tough moment but let`s hope I can do the job, time will tell.

I`ve been through a lot as a player, coach and part of the management team. First real coaching job I had was in Slovenia but due to Covid I had no space to show what I`m capable of. Anyhow, I`m sure everything I did so far will be helpful at my new post.

I know quite a few Partizan players from my days as coaching assistant here. First thing I can do this early is to try and fix the mood within the squad game-wise, to start with simple stuff. Later on I`ll have time to do what I want with this team.

Petric will debut by the dugout on Sunday (7.30pm kick-off) for a SSL match away to Mladost GAT
