Goran Zakaric opened the scoring in Krusevac after brilliant assist from Nikolic. We spoke to Zakaric day after the game:
-This was going to be one tough encounter for many reasons – we suffered two defeats previously and we simply couldn`t afford to lose another one. Also, we knew pitch surface was going to be poor. Looking at the 4-0 final score, some would say it was easy but we all know how it was prior to the game and what kind of pressure we had. This is an important win as we reached cup semis but our aim is to go all the way now. Next Saturday we are home to Spartak league-wise and we need to get ready for that game, to win three points. We are at home and if we play as we did yesterday there`ll be no problems for us to win it. We are all saddened by Mirkovic`s departure but that`s how it is in football. I wish Mirkovic a lots of luck and success in his future exploits and I hope he `ll be back in his beloved Partizan one day, said Zakaric.
You are away on international duty with Bosnia soon.
-I`ll be with the national team from next Monday on, we have to qualifiers And I believe we can them both. First it`s Armenia and it`s important to win it, followed by Greece three days after. That one is going to much harder to win.
You scored Partizan opener yesterday.
–Yes, Nikolic assisted as well but it`s all down to teamwork. It wasn`t easy after everything that happened but we showed character, won and secured cup semi. Nikolic handled it well, beat three players and played it to me unselfishly.
