As part of European Heritage Days event, FK Partizan will host a public meeting with former Partizan players who won Mitropa Cup back in 1978. This meeting will take place at Partizan Trophy Hall on Thursday, 11th of October, 2.30pm CET. Note that number of visitors is limited.

Partizan won Mitropa Cup in 1978 by winning Hungarian Honved in a final with single goal scored by Aleksandar Trifunovic from the penalty spot.

Our team won Group A ahead of Perudia and Zbrojovka Brno while Honved reached the final winning Vojvodina and Rapid Wien.

Partizan Mitropa Cup 1978 final team: Zalad, Djurovic, Kozic, Trifunovic, Lazicic, Stojkovic, Zavisic, Zivkovic, Santrac, Prekazi, Klincarski.

Mitropa Cup is the oldest European club competition started in 1922 and folded in 1992. At the beginning, it was reserved solely for teams from Austria,Hungary,  former Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. Later on, teams from Romania, Switzerland and Italy also joined.
