Double joy for Djordje Jovanovic

It`s not always easy but it`s always nice supporting Partizan! Game away to Macva Sabac on Sunday was no different.

Very motivated home side scored an opener on 37, Tawamba headed in the equalizer on 54 after neat Vulicevic`s cross, skipper Ilic scored from the spot on 87 for a Partizan 2-1 lead and sub Jovanovic made it 3-1 on 89.

Young Partizan  forward talked to Partizan website after the game:

– I didn’t make it to 18 for the last four league games and my last appearance was against Skenderbeu as a sub. Honestly, I love coming in when it`s tough and I always have a feel I`m gonna score a winning goal. I really feel fantastic now.

Although placed in the bottom half of the standings, Macva played great, had 6 shots on goal but Partizan still dominated the possession.

– This was a hard game for us, tired after Skenderbeu game. Macva was really motivated Luckily, Tawamba is in a great from and he started it all with his equalizer. I`s like to praise Macva for their fighting spirit.

Sasa Ilic was there to score from the spot for a Partizan 2-1 lead.

– Ilic is a living legend. Whenever he comes in as a sub, game changes for the better. He makes connections between team lines, brings stability and he crowned his performance with a goal today.

Finally, you made it 3-1 after great pass from Pantic.

– Beautiful ending of the game before international break. I`m going home to Leposavic now to get some rest and to celebrate 6^th birthday of my younger brother Matija. This goal is for him, for the fans and for my teammates. This will be a double joy for me.

Next Partizan game is scheduled for 15^th of November, a home last 16 cup fixture against Rad.
