Partizan lost 1-0 to Slovan Liberec in a first friendly of Belek winter preps.
Boss Mirkovic tested 22 players with Ricardo, Ivanovic and Pantic sidelined due to minor injuries. Moreover, keeper Stojkovic felt tendon pain and had to be subbed early in the second half.
In the first half, central midfield role was allocated to 16-year-old Stevanovic but it was Valiente and Zdjelar who controlled Partizan defence and midfield in the first 45 letting Slovan no opportunities.
The only Partizan opportunity came early In the game but youngster Stevanovic sent a poor shot towards Slovan net.
Reserve keeper Kljajic had to make a number of saves in the second half but conceded the only goal of the game after a defensive blunder.
Boss Zoran Mirkovic on Slovan friendly:
– In the first half, our defence was responsible, aggressive and organized. The same cannot be said for the attacking department. We have to play more, to search for attacking depth and to be more clinical. Second half was quite poor, we need to play much better.
Partizan will play second friendly of Belek preps on 31st of January against Polish outfit Cracovia.
