Asano scored his 21st goal of the season

Partizan won Macva 2-1 away in a SSL round 32 game. Hosts took an early lead, Asano equalized late in the first half followed by a second half winner from Lazar Markovic.

We spoke to Partizan Japanese winger after the match and his 21^st goal of the season.

“Macva started well and shocked us with early goal. But, good thing about this team is that we know we don`t have to panic but to keep attacking and wait for our goal opportunities. We knew it was important to score before the half-time whistle so that we can go on a break with calm heads. Macva keeper saved dozen opportunities really. At the end, I`m truly happy when I see the joy of my teammates and boss Stanojevic when we win”.

After a derby defeat, Partizan starts another winning streak.

“I don`t want to go back to derby game as we cannot change anything now. It` important to know no one outplayed us, derby game analysis can show that too. But, one goal changes everything. I think football public knows what kind of team we are what we are about”.

On Wednesday, Partizan is away to Vojvodina in a Serbian Cup semi.

“I know Vojvodina all too well, it`s not going to be a relaxing encounter. Actually, there never is one when you are in Partizan. You win 19 in a row and everyone sings the praise, you lose one and chaos erupts. Personally, I have only positive impressions with people I meet but there are very few places around the world with such football turbulence. Now I understand your temperament”.

You feel at home now?

“It`s nice here at Partizan but I almost don`t go out at all. I have my training and daily schedule and everything is about football for me”.

“I like them very much. I already have quite a few orders from Japan and I will have to direct them to Partizan shop”.
