It`s been a long search for such a football talent, someone who will step into Sasa Ilic`s boots one day. The search was over after Armin Djerlek arrived to Partizan in 2017 via Pazar Juniors and OFK Beograd. This youngster is among 60 most talented young players as listed by Guardian papers and made his official Partizan debut last weekend.
– Many boys dream of playing for Partizan one day, some of them get to live this dream and I got to live it as seventeen-year-old. I`d like to thank boss Djukic for his faith in me, he made me a starter last weekend. I`d also like to thank my teammates for supporting me on the pitch all the way through, says Djerlek.
Lots o Djerlek`s friends and family members were in Lucani away to watch him make his Partizan debut. In general, people of Novi Pazar are thrilled to see one of the local kids playing for Partizan.
– I`m not licenced for European matches but time works for me. I`m yet to turn 18 and it`s on me to deserve to become Partizan regular. Good performances lead to success. I need to work, progress and sacrifice a lot to achieve it. I`m so proud and happy to be part of this.
