Andres Colorado signs for Partizan!

Columbian international Andres Colorado signed for Partizan today.

24-year-old defensive midfielder signed a one-year loan deal with a buy-out option.

Colorado is member of second-tier Columbian side Cortulua while he spent last season on loan to Brazilians Sao Paolo.

After the medicals, Colorado was officially presented on a special presser.

Partizan Sporting Director Ivica Kralj on a new signing:

-As you know, we extended contracts with couple of important players recently and signed professional deals with number of Partizan youths. Now it`s time to present Andres Colorado who made his Columbia national team debut year ago. We expect him to be a great new addition to the squad; I have no doubts about it. We just need patience, journalists and fans especially. We looked at many players over the last six months and we had all the necessary info on Colorado. He is really good in the air regarding attacking set-pieces, reads the game well and had the aggression needed. That`s what we were lacking and I`m sure Colorado will fill those gaps, said Ivica Kralj.

6 ft 4 in tall midfielder also addressed the media reps:

-I was motivated to come to a big club like Partizan and I`m really pleased I`m the first Colombian to play here; that`s another reason I want to be on a required level to help this club. Partizan is a big team, they present me with opportunity to play in European competitions. I had an equal offer from Argentina but you cannot deny an opportunity of playing in Europe. Once again, I`d like to thank the club for this opportunity and I hope I`ll play here for a number of years.

Partizan is recognized in South America, all information is available since this club played Champions League and now plays Conference League. I know Belgrade derby is huge with both team battling for the title and European competitions. I hope we`ll win upcoming derby game.

I feel good as I recovered from a muscle injury. I expect to adapt to the team next week and to get to play a week later. Serbian is going to be a new language for me but I`m motivated even more to succeed and contribute to this team, said Colorado.

Colombian international picked a shirt number 13.
