Aleksandar Filipovic after the TSC game

Good energy, belief and confidence after the well played Eternal Belgrade derby game led to more productive outcome away to TSC in a SSL round 33 – Partizan won it 3-1 with goals from Ricardo (`12), Jovic (`48) and Filipovic (`70).

We spoke to one of the goalscorers, right-back Aleksandar Filipovic, after the game:

“Very important win for us. We knew TSC is an opponent of extreme quality but we believed in ourselves and arrived here with a clear target – to win three points which we did. Everyone knows we struggled a lot lately but we gained back needed confidence after the derby performance and showed today we can still play some very good football. I`m glad spectators enjoyed in this encounter. As for the game itself, TSC is a great attacking side with lots of passes involved. We managed to neutralize them and create a great deal of opportunities. We showed we can do things, we just need to keep it going until the end”, said 28-year-old.

You scored a goal for  a 3-1 lead after Pantic`s corner-kick and on the rebound from Vujacic`s header.

“As for the goal, I just did what we agreed with coaching staff, I was on the far post to seize on the rebound”, said Filipovic.

For a SSL round 34 (play-off round 4), Partizan is home to Novi Pazar on Monday, May 8.
