Aldo Kalulu signs for Partizan!

Aldo Kalulu spoke to Partizan website upon signing.

Aldo, what is your position on the field exactly?

“On the field I like to play in the centre, doesn`t matter If I`m number nine or false nine. I can help on the flank but I`m better in the middle”.

What are your biggest advantages on the football field?

“I`m quick and I like to have the ball. I`m a team player who likes to exchange passes. I can also make the difference one on one. This is how I can help the team”.

How do you like the city itself over this short spell of time?

“I`m a bit surprised as in France when people talk about Balkans it`s not in a really good way. I`ve been really surprised, it`s beautiful. There are many malls and restaurants and the sun is there also. So, I`m really happy”.

What did you know about Partizan before arriving to Belgrade and meeting your new coach and teammates?

“Not much really. I had some friends who played in Belgrade, Partizan and Red Star, and I know about the rivalry between the two clubs, but not a lot. I`m here to learn about it and to see it with my own eyes”.

Did you see any video regarding Partizan fans?

“Of course, I saw many videos, both basketball ones and the stadium. I can`t wait to start to feel it by myself”.

What do you expect from Serbian league since you played for Lyon, Swansea, Basel and Sochaux last year?

“It`s time for Serbian football but I don`t know what it looks like. I`m really happy to see it myself and to compare it to other leagues”.

You played with Kanoute in Sochaux last year and there`s a friendship going on between you two?

“Yeah, he`s a good guy and my friend. I met him at the restaurant when I came here and he told me a little bit about the city and the club. It was enough for me to decide to come here”.

So, he told you to come to Partizan?

“Yeah, he was surprised by my arrival but I think we`ll do good things together”.

In Kanoute, you`ll also have someone to speak in French.

“Exactly, but I can speak English too. Of course, it`s better when you have someone you know around”.

We have UEFA ECL round 3 qualifier coming up.

“It`s a big motivation for me. It`s one of the reasons I made my decision to come here so I hope we`ll get into the Conference League group stage and to make a good run there”.
