Partizan is home Trakai (Lithuania) on Thursday for a first leg of EL round 2 qualifier. We spoke to midfielder Sasa Zdjelar ahead of this important encounter.
– There`s no more shocks in football game – we`ve seen that at World Cup an now in early Euro club qualifiers. Football technology advanced a lot, you can see everything via internet nowadays and possibilities to learn a lot are endless. We don`t know much about Trakai but since they won Irtysh tie, we shouldn`t underestimate them a single bit. I`m sure they are fine and organized side and we`ll learn more about them through team analysis, says Zdjelar.
Your expectations?
– They are big as ever. We play at home, aware of fan`s expectations as well. I want to say to our fans to be patient. We have a good and young team, three 18-year old lads, and we all need time to get there. There`s also a number of newcomers who need to blend in. I`d like to call on our supporters to come in large numbers on Thursday, their support means a lot to us.
