24-year old versatile midfielder Danilo Pantic had his Chelsea contract expired on 30th of June and he is now officially back in his home club on a 3-year deal.
He trained and played friendlies with Partizan over the past 10 days and scored a lovely goal in a friendly against Koper yesterday.
We spoke to Partizan academy graduate about his third spell with Partizan, his expectations, private life and more.
“I don`t know if people are fed up with me, but I`m thrilled to finally sign for Partizan again. I hope my third Partizan spell will be the best of all, that I`ll be able to help this talented team to achieve best results possible”, said Danilo Pantic.
Partizan boss Stanojevic underlined he would love to get the best out of Pantic.
“Training sessions are of high intensity. We are very tired as we work hard, but that`s the only way. I`m glad boss said that, I hope I`ll prove him right”.
Last season, on loan from Chelsea to Cukaricki, Pantic found it strange playing against his home club.
“It was quite unusual as I wore Partizan jersey and I found myself playing against my home club. Thank God, the opportunity to come back to Partizan happened and I`m so happy about it. I often say I cannot live without pressure. I`m used to pressure of the public and everything that goes with playing for Partizan. Such pressure pushes me to play better and to prove if I`m worth playing here or not. I hope I`ll show I deserve to be here”.
Danilo Pantic also sent a message to young Partizan players.
“Lads, just do opposite of what I did (laughs). I made a mistake and left before I matured in every life aspect. Partizan is an ideal environment where you can toughen up. You have pressure from everyone in the club, senior players, coaches, fans and you have to battle it all”, said Pantic.
