Partizan forward Ricardo Gomes joined squad`s pre-season two days late as he was allowed extended break. Ricardo arrived to Partizan last summer and this is first time he is training in winter conditions.
– I have to admit I`m finding it hard as I never trained on pitch covered by snow but I`m gradually getting used to it. My teammates are used to it and learned how to cope with it from early age but I never met with this winter magic before, Ricardo laughs.
– I will always remember that last game before winter break – it looked like fairytale town, not the football ground. Of course, my teammates started throwing snowballs at me and I joined them soon after, all for a bit of laugh. I like Belgrade very much, people are nice and football mad – I get recognized around. The only thing that bothers me is this low winter temperature but it will soon be over. I spent winter holidays with my family in warm Cape Verde and it suited me fine after freezing conditions here. I met with my mates and I also played some charity games back home. My family is in Portugal now but they will join me soon. It`s better like that as we have two training sessions a day now and spend most of our time in club`s training centre, says Ricardo.
