Former Partizan player and Yugoslav international Fadi Vokri died of heart attack at age 57 today.

Vokri was born on 23rd of June 1960 in the town of Podujevo.

He started his youth football career at local Lab Podujevo as a 15-year-old. Vokri moved to FK Pristina in 1980 and over the next six second-tier seasons with the club, he made 84 appearances scoring 33 goals. With Pristina as Yugoslav top-tier side, Vokri scored 22 goals over 88 apps.

Vokri moved to Partizan in 1986 and played 107 games scoring 47 goals before moving abroad in 1989. He also made 12 apps for Yugoslav national team scoring 6 goals. Vokri also played for Nimes (1989-1990), Fenerbahce (1990-1992), Bourges 18 (1992-1993) and Montuclon (1993) where he worked as a sports manager upon hanging his boots.

-Three years spent in Partizan were the best in my career and I`ll never forget it all. I had great opinion about the club even before my arrival and my time in Partizan was even more enjoyable than I could ever imagine, said Fadil Vokri few years ago.

Vokri was Partizan fans favourite soon upon his arrival, a top class player and fearless fighter on the pitch. He left a great legacy here.
